Not to mention I've engaged in an epic battle with the mosquitoes of this house. I don't know where the hell they're coming from but every time I kill one another pops up, and usually they're gone by December -_-'
I found one in the kitchen and took it by surprise but most I've been chasing down with my 9 year old hair spray bottle like a freak of nature and simultaneously trying to grab wisps of air they temporarily fly around. I'm itching like crazy and its driving me mad to hear their buzzing in my ears at night. I've always wanted to invest in one of those mosquito bed overlays, though mostly because they were so pretty in their sheerness. Now it'd also be serving functionality at least.

Badass villain: Frollo. You can easily hate him for wanting to kill a baby because he thought it was deformed, for being a self-righteous bastard, for blaming a woman because he has a dick. For putting a family under house arrest then burning the innocent family. Really easy.

Not so badass villain: Rothbart from The Swan Princess


Not exactly hq I know but I think the general message of tap dancing wizard in tights comes through.
He turns a girl into a part time swan, and threatens to keep it that way if she won't marry him. He wants land and power, and to torment the nobles who used to make fun of him in grade school, forget the girl. He ain't singin' no song about the torment of the eternal soul, he's singing about having some guys kiss his unbathed feet.

Knowing that the hygiene in this century was dismal however makes my inner germaphobe freak when certain scenes occur. Its a miracle the prince and princess are both still alive.

Aw, my VLC media player is donning a little santa hat all on its own. Cute moments like this make me love the holidays.

Not depressing, but an actual feel- good movie. I left the theater extremely elated.

Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon did a pretty good job with the accents. One of my Dad's closest friends is straight from South Africa, and they had the whole vitamins actually being pronounced 'vitamins' and not vy-tamins' thing going on.

One thing I didn't appreciate too much was the personification of the All blacks, new Zealand's rugby team.

1. Just fyi, right now the ratio of native New Zealanders, (The Maori) to white new Zealanders on the team is higher, as in you have more of the beefy asians.
2. During the Haka, they actually hit their breasts, like beat it hard, and were they not confined to uniforms it might be hard enough to draw blood.
3. I found the movie didn't make an effort to show how truly powerful and passionate the team members are when they perform the Haka. I felt the camera angles and particular shots tried to make it appear comical. Forgot to add, the Haka is a ritualistic war dance which is supposed to bring the dead warrior ancestors from the earth and infuse their spirits with their fierceness and courage.

But it was definitely a great, happy movie that made me nearly cry for joy.

I bought the Queer as Folk dvd box set off of B&N Online because they sent me a %20 percent coupon this morning, where as yesterday they told me I couldn't use the 15% coupon twice, and today is the last day for free shipping which is a b*ch. Plus the thing was already %40 off, so the extra %20 makes it almost affordable. If I were a member, though...god I would've been rolling all up in that shit.

So it came out to ~ $92.50 with tax, which is almost affordable. It means I'll have to be ultra conservative now if I want to pay for my books, at least until the scholarship/grant money kicks in again.
